For the money, you can't really go wrong.

For the money, you can't really go wrong.
If you are looking at these reviews, it is completely obvious the company has screwed up with their screw size, and/or spacers. You are not going to be able to use those to mount this and have a working firearm. If you have a bunch of small spacers lying around, you can probably make it work with some of those. The screw holes are counter sunk quite far, so if you can find the proper spacers, you have room to fit it in there and still not interfere with your open sight picture. The other option would be to knock down those screws a bit at the tip. They really are very close to working. So close you may think you can just let it go. In my case, the slide would move, but you could most definitely feel the interference. Don't be fooled. Loosen the screws back up and see how much better the slide moves if you don't believe me. Do not operate your firearm this way. Your 10/22 deserves better! That being said, I used the screws that came with my 10/22 for mounting the rail your new gun comes with. If you still have those, you can use them to mount this almost perfectly. Do not use the spacers that came with the mount. The screw dept is almost perfect, as you can see from my first picture, it fits flush when tight and does not interfere with the slide at all. (Yeah, it's dirty. Don't judge me!)The factor screw heads are the slightest bit taller than the base of the mount, as you will see in my second picture. Only very slightly, but it is there, and it could be problematic for you depending on your rear site setting. In my third picture, I have my sites pretty much lined up looking through the mount. I have the 10/22 with the little brass ball on the front site, so that light dot is the front post, pretty close to being in the rear notch, and I can get it there when actually aiming the gun. I have my rear site set to 1 hash below the center hash. With the stock screws, that is about as low as your going to be able to go on your rear sight and still have any kind of sight picture. With the rear site set to the middle hash, there is no interference at all. While we are talking rear site, make sure you are happy with where that is set before you mount your scope. Most likely scope is going to block you from working on it after the fact. So, for the money, you can't really lose if you have your stock screws, own some other spacer options, or are willing to grind down the provided screws. The mount itself seems like a quality made piece, it fits the gun well, and holds the scope. I'm only happy with it because I knew it was going to not be a plug and play thing based on the other other reviews, and the price is low enough to deal with it. If it cost any more, I would have passed on it.I have to take stars away though for the simple fact this is a 10/22 specific product that does not fit the 10/22 out of the box. Get some new spacers into the kits people. That's all you have to do. How hard can that be? You have a 5 star product getting 3 stars over 4 tiny spacers. That pride in your company and products.I may mess with that some more and post an update. Or maybe I'll contact the company and see if they have even thought of getting the right size spacers at this point, or if they even care.

5.0 out of 5 stars 100% satisfied, highly recommend

Added the Monstrum see-through scope rings to a Ruger 10/22. Easy to install, perfect fit and the iron sights are easy to see through the opening under the scope.

One note: before installing I contacted Monstrum about using Loc-tite. They said it shouldn’t be necessary. I put about 35 rds through and the screws loosened significantly. I added some Loc-tite gel and remounted. I haven’t shot since, but it’s a solid connection.

The rings are solid, well-constructed and I like the way they look on my rifle. The best part is I can still use the iron sights. Exactly what I wanted and expected when I ordered these.

100% satisfaction. Definitely recommend.
